I’m Alexandra Kukushkina, a wedding photographer based in Italy. My journey into photography began in an unexpected way: with a degree in Physics. While science taught me discipline and precision, it was photography that allowed me to explore creativity and human connection. In 2007, I took my first steps into this art — and since then, photography has become not just a profession, but a calling.

In 2016, I moved to Bologna, a city that opened the door to Italy’s timeless beauty. Living here means being surrounded by endless inspiration — the golden hills of Tuscany, the elegance of Lake Como, the intimacy of Umbria, the historic charm of Florence, and the romance of Venice. These places are more than destinations; they are stories waiting to be told.

Over the years, I have photographed portraits, interiors, and lifestyle projects, but weddings have always drawn me most deeply. To be invited into such a meaningful day, to witness both the grand celebrations and the quiet, unspoken moments, is an honor I hold close to my heart.

My inspiration often comes from art, cinema, and architecture, which shape the way I see light, form, and composition. I believe that photography is not about staging perfection, but about preserving what is true: a fleeting glance, a laugh shared with loved ones, a tear of joy. These are the details that turn a wedding into a story, and a photograph into a memory that lasts.

For me, every couple brings a world of its own, and my role is to capture it with sensitivity, elegance, and honesty. This is what keeps me passionate about photography after all these years — the chance to create something meaningful, timeless, and personal.
